Chevy’s lack of love for the 6th Gen Camaro is showing at SEMA

Another sign that the end may be near for the Camaro?

What about the John Force COPO?

OK it's not the same wow factor as the E-COPO last year, but it's still a badass car :thumb:

They did a special edition COPO car for this years SEMA....
what were you hoping for?

Couple things off the top of my head I'd like to see..

active aero trunk lid drop-in replacement with integrated imu so it requires no integration with the canbus system in the car to work.

Brake caliper upgrades that aren't either ridiculously expensive or no longer in production.

Mabye get a little awesome and layer an oled screen on the inside of the entire windshield, then using dual cameras and radar, overlay realtime augmented reality data ....including night/fog vision and have it link in with a custom android auto experience to give you fpv directional cues / business names / street names / speed limits etc.

Maybe a hybrid e-camaro that throws two small electric motors on both front wheels for low speed high torque bursts (or for slow snow driving).

i dont know..plenty of ideas of some fun stuff..

Besides the Yellow 6th Gen, the John Force COPO, and the NASCAR Body Camaro the rest were all Heritage cars of yesteryear.

They already did a second facelift for 2020. Now they focus on marketing the LT1 model and the C8. I wouldn't expect any big Camaro next in the upcoming time as long as it's unclear when a 7th Gen Camaro might happen or if it will happen at all

They have 650 hp cars on the lot right now. Not concept cars for the future. There is the love ❤️ right now.

i mean, those are neat ideas...but i wouldn’t use any of them or spend a dime to have them. i’d go for a factory drag pack, though. maybe an adj shiftlight and adj factory 2 step, as well.

id rather see a na motor. they weigh less and those factory blower motors have miles of coolant lines.

There’s not much new with the John Force car, except his name plastered all over it and a three-color paint job that will be a Camaro option for 2020.

Unfortunately, Ford’s commitment (as a manufacturer, which is the point here) to the current-generation Mustang is much stronger:

I'm pickin up what you're layin down. It's impossible to get the hp numbers out of a factory N/A motor though...

Not sure I agree with that... here's another perspective:

2016 Chevy introduced the ZL1. Ford took 4 years longer to give the 500.

2018 Chevy introduced the E-Copo. Ford took 1 year longer to show the dragon snake E-stang.

2019 Chevy introduced the mid-Engine C8. Ford stopped making the GT.
