2017 Camaro - Seat Belt Pretensioner
 

Did anyone receive the letter from GM that identifies a potential issue with the seal belt pretensioner on the driver's side?

I haven't had a chance to check if my car has this issue.

I just got that letter yesterday. I’ll check mine tomorrow.

I also received that letter but haven’t had a chance to check it out. Is this a 2017-only thing?

My letter only said 2017 owners. I would think other model years would be affected as I doubt our seats are any different???

its for the entire 6th gen i believe, my 2018 had it.

I got one for my 2016.

got the letter for my 2016. I didn't find the issue

I have one for my 2016 SS, no issues.

I got it too. My car is an '18 with Recaro seats. Somehow I don't think it applies to me...

I got one of these for my '16, no issue on my car. The notice implied that the issue only happens if the pretensioner is sat on repeatly. It's pretty far from the seat, so I guess it primarily affects "larger" drivers.

Sounds like quite a large number of vehicles involved.

Has anyone found the damage described in the letter?

I got it. I need to check it tomorrow.

I checked my seat belt...thankfully no issue!
