Convertible Top Rubbing Issue
Having an issue with my top rubbing on the underside of the tonneau. :confused0068:
This is occurring when the top is down (stowed). It appears to me that the stowing motion is not keeping the top down far enough. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/attach...1&d=1472686128 http://www.camaro6.com/forums/attach...1&d=1472686128 http://www.camaro6.com/forums/attach...1&d=1472686128 Initially only noticed it on the driver's side but now I'm also starting to see it on the passenger side as well. Took it to the local dealer today and they say there's a clip that's missing (or something). I will get more details and post them. |
Interesting. I haven't had that issue yet

Dealer is ordering a new trim piece.
Says there's a clip that's come loose and is not keeping the trim piece low enough to clear the tonneau. Going to take a week or so before it comes in. :twitch: |
She went in today for the new trim piece. We'll see what the results are before too long.
 |
They replaced the front trim piece that included the clips that apparently came loose or just came out. Those clips hold the trim piece "down" while stowed so that it won't rub on the tonneau. It was a warranty repair, but it took most of the day to accomplish. Haven't put the top down yet to see if there's any change.
