Tinting Camaro Tail Lights

Sup guys?

Just wanted to share my video on how I tinted the tail lights on my 6th Gen since I had so many asking about them.

Cheap alternative instead of buying the transparent tail lights.

Enjoy!

I've done this before and once I've gotten them the right shade for me. I've always then shot them with clear which gives them a super high gloss finish. Looks good though

Looks good. I still prefer the look of the GM dark tailights because they are smoked and clear when the brakes or lights are not on.

Every time I do this, I like to use a clear coat to make it shine better. This time I'm going to paint with an actual paint gun. You'll get better results if you remove the lights from the vehicle.

Like a Krylon or Rustoleum clear you mean?

Looks great! You inspired me to pull the Lamin-x vinyl off mine and VHT them exactly like yours. I'm very happy with how they turned out. Here's pics of mine. Did 3 coats of the nite shades and 5 coats of clear.

What brand of clear coat did you used? How do you like the results so far? Any fading?

Looks like you left a strip of the red unmasked when you painted. Is that right or is it an illusion from your body color?

Looks good either way.

Looks great. Ill be doing this on my own soon.

Looks killer but what i'm wondering is what these look like when you hit the brakes on a bright sunny day. There are so many Honda running around here with this done and it makes me crazy as you can see the brakes lights when they stop on a sunny day.
