Bar has been raised again... for straight line performance.

Reminds me of my ex, just one angry pussiecat.

It appears Dodge is determined to remain the clear winner in any straightline performance venue period. Can't wait as I owned a 1974 Dodge Demon with a warmed up 340 way back when.

Horsepower guess - 777 :), 250-lb weight reduction over the Challenger.

Sounds like the ZL1 will be topped soon after its reveal, again.

Straight line? Perhaps. Anything with a twist or turn? Doubtful.

They said they aren't worried about going fast in the turns. Sure, they could be saying that because the chassis isn't built for it.

The problem is GM has the ability to make more power for the Camaro. They won't because it's the Camaro. Meanwhile, the Camaro's competitors keep coming out with more power. The Challenger has almost caught up with the Camaro in monthly sales.

It's going to be a tuff drag strip monster. Can't wait to see one on the street.

This was brought up briefly in September of last year.

Bet some money it is exactly what we were reading then: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=465948

AWD wide body... maybe turbo (that'd be badass).

Sure, let's build an even faster Challenger while we constantly talk about getting GM to merge with us and we cancel two sedan programs that we invested a ****load of money into, oh and while we're at it, let's continuously delay other future product programs that will probably be more important for our bottom line, and we'll ignore the fact that Fiat's sales are sinking into oblivion, the Chrysler brand now only has TWO (2) cars in its entire lineup, the EPA's about to bring the hammer down on us over our diesels, but who cares because lolzomgHellcat.

They sound amazing in person! I will give them that! They also look really nice, but i'm not a big fan of the racing stripes.

I've never owned a Dodge, so i don't know if I would ever consider it. I've also never owned a Ford. While Challenger and Mustang both look good, I just cannot ever see myself purchasing one.
