How do you guys mount your AEM Wideband?

I just bought my AEM Wideband. There must be a simple way to mount it. All advise will be appreciated.

They make a single defrost vent, dual defrost vent, single pillar, dual pillar. I went with single defrost vent.

If you mean the gauge face, I used a ZZP double pod along with my Banks iDash. If you mean the actual wideband, I had a bung welded into my header collector before ceramic coating.

Mine is in the left side A/C vent. Even the dealer has missed it in the past. :D

I have the same setup and love it. I also had ARH weld an extra bung before sending it to Swaintech.

Little tip for the OP if you need a way to run your wideband I used the Sound tube plug which the ZL1 doesn't use. I shaved the tabs and drilled a 5/8 hole and used a grommet. Also I depined the plug to fit the wires through the grommet.

That’s pretty nifty. Nice work. I just used a side angled rotary tool and notched the OEM tube plug in the rough shape of the wire harness.

Clean setup. Thanks for the advice. I will go with the air vent option. But, here's the kicker, damn part is on backorder!:mad0259:

There is a member on here that 3d printing the same mount for like $30. I bought one but never used it I'm sure if you do a search you'll find it. I'll look to see if I can find the members name.

This is what I'm doing just waiting on my carbon fiber pillar dual gauge pod!

Best place to mount the wideband sensor is the collector?
At that junction right now and appreciate feedback. Also gonna be using the dual pod a pillar mount

widebands should be installed around 6"-8" after the collector to let the exhaust pulses merge to reduce the possibility of false readings. Some people say to install them even further back but it might take longer for them to start reading correct since they have to be heated up to work properly.

They all have heating circuits, but close to the stock location is more than likely ideal.

First twin system I did way back when I put it right after the turbine housings, like many factories do. Well, after a year I went to pull them out & the gas cage had ballooned & they wouldn’t come out. Ended up having to cut them at the bottom of the threads. PITA. Morale of the story, there is such a thing as too close.
