I Used Simply Green to Clean my Wheels
I used to use simple green on my old car which had plastidip wheels. I was having trouble getting the wheels clean on my Camaro with soap and water so I sprayed them down with the simple green and with a little bit of scrubbing, they look brand new. Took about 10 minutes to clean these wheels compared to the 20-30 it normally takes me.
Is there any reason I shouldn't use simple green on my much nicer and better wheels, then my previous car? |
Simple green is a bit harsh. You can dilute it with water or better yet, get some wheel cleaner from the store and try that.

Simple Green works via Sulferic Acid - Might get away with it for awhile but IMO eventually you may have some issues depending on wheel finish.
I coated my wheels when new with cQuartz and I just hit them with a foam cannon when I am washing the rest of the car and rinse |

They are just wheels. Clean them with the same soap you wash the car with or just get some wheel cleaner at the auto store and try it.
Many choices, don’t over think it. If you want to get anal, go to the auto geek or autopia forums and go nuts. |

If you keep them decently clean and apply a wheel or even a regular wax, there shouldn't be any reason why soap and water won't clean them fine.

Brown Royal diluted down 1:4, hosed down with a pressure washer. I never touch my wheels.
