BMR motor mount feedback
So I been in the process of installing my ARH headers and I have to remove the passenger side motor mount to get them in.
My question to anyone that has used or using the BMR motor mounts with the integrated stands. Are they any good and are they worth the extra work? |
I have them. Nice pieces. Worth it to me.
|
I ran them for 3 years before I sold my Camaro. As Choda said they are nice, creates more room on each side of the motor and you'll save close to 20 lbs by getting ride of the old liquid mounts.
|
I was reading somewhere on here that sometimes it might give the knock sensor false reading. Can this happen snice there is less give on the motor mounts.

Yes it’s possible

I'm thinking of going with the mm010 mounts as they are saying it doesn't produce to much NVH.
|
I did MM010. its not a complete solid mount. It def more stiff than OEM but does allow some movement.
|
Is the MM009 just partial replacement? Was also thinking about going this route and not sure which would be better

I am not too concerned with NVH, as long as it doesn't cause collateral damages? |
So what I got of of all the research is the best way to go is with the mm010 mounts. That don't really think the NVH is going to be to bad. Now if you do go with the mm010 and install the solid bushing then you will probably will alot more NVH.
I'm ordering the mm010 tomorrow and hopefully get them quickly. Snice I have the headers out and everything is apart I'm ready to install the mounts. |

**Try and get weights of the OEM parts coming off, and BMR parts going on. ...Please :thumb: |

Thanks for the clarity on the different part numbers.
Interested in the weight savings and ride as well. Going to install headers soon also and will be a great time to do it. I have spl suspension parts to put on first and see if/how much the ride changes. I'm already in a 1le so I don't see it getting much stiffer |
