2SS ac sync issue

The climate control sync feature only works about half the time on my car. Typically, when I'm driving solo, i leave the system in the sync mode. When my wife is with me she invariably wants her side cooler. The sync feature works very intermittently. The little yellow indicator light on the switch is on and stays on when you push the button. The system refuses to un-sync the controls.
Has anyone elsr experienced this issue? The only other infotainment issue i have had in 15k miles is the sound management feature disappeared from the screen once. It returned on the next key cycle.

Car is still in the shop, so I can't check, but AFAIR the only way to break the sync is to adjust the passenger side temp. The sync button is not a toggle, it only works one way to enable syncing.

arpad_m is correct but just looked at online owner manual for this as i was curious here is how its suppose to go, if you want to see online owners manual just go to gm.ca or gm.com you can view it there after logging on, and then you can just press CTRL + F to search for a key word, here is a link to it may work maybe without needing to sign in.

Owners Manual - PDF

SYNC : Press to link the passenger
climate temperature settings to the
driver setting. The SYNC indicator
light will turn on. When the
passenger settings are adjusted, the
SYNC indicator light turns off.

You are correct, arpad. This was totally operator error! Thanks for setting me straight.
