ZL1 LT4 Elite Carbon Series Intake?

Thoughts opinions on the ZL1 LT4 Elite Carbon Series Intake, for my

20 ZL1/1LE?

I really like the look but is it worth the extra $$?
Is there a better choice?
I am more concerned with fitment.

Thanks

Rotofab and nothing else. Has been tried and true for 100s of camaros and pretty much everyone modifying a ZL1 has one. I’m currently using the BIG Gulp but I have a cam with ported SC, and full bolt ons.

Any other intake is a waste.

Thanks!
Any advantage oil or dry?

Markoz28 03-26-2020 04:19 PM

Dry seems to be the better choice since there is a theory that the oil clumps of dirt and may clog the filter more than a dry one. With that said my intake is currently oiled as the dry one was not available at the time for the big gulp. I don’t even know if it’s available now. lol

Supposedly the oil filter draws more air.

Oiled is supposed to flow better and filter better. Dry is easier to clean. The difference in power between the two would be so minimal though I don't think you could dyno it. The difference in intake temps between the pulls would matter more then the filter.

The CAI is carbon fiber and great for car shows and what not. But if you're looking for fitment and function the Rotofab is in a league of its own.

When you're ready to order stop by our site and shop around. Save with code CAMARO6

I'll vouch for that! Just ordered my Roto Fab from Juiced! No better deal out there.

Summit Racing also sells them and maybe a little cheaper!

That’s where I will get mine if I decide to add one!

Im on the fence with the Carbon myself. Theres no doubt its sexy but, thats alot of money for a CAI. Im not a fan of the oiled filters any longer and this unit comes with one. Im sure I could cross over a dry but, thats more cost and legwork on my end. I also like the idea of the intake not using the hood as the seal for the box. Im not sure what I will do yet. Its either the Carbon or the Rotofab.

Yeah I agree with you keystone! The Cold Air Inductions is pricey to say the least but looks good and functions well too. I didn’t have a complaint with their intake that I installed on my 2016 2SS and it seemed to give it a small increase in hp.

FYI: Phastek has 10% off Cold Air Induction intakes until March 31. This lowers the price of the Elite Carbon by $75. Makes it a little more competitive with the Roto-Fab. Use code TAXDAY20.

Like you, I'm not a fan of the hood sealing the filter compartment. I also think like the hump hose design of the Roto-Fab causes more air turbulence.

Has anyone tried the weapon x super flow2 carbon CAI?
