Harness system

3 Attachment(s)
I finally got my new harness system hooked up. It works great. My last car had a harness bar and tank plates. That system worked fine but in my new ZL1 1LE I really did not want to mount a harness bar in it. Thanks to the help of some members in here I found a harness called the Schroth Rallye 4 ASM harness. The back seat harness mounts to the existing seat belt location bolts and the front lap belts mount under the front seat rear rail bolts. The harness can be unhooked and hidden in the back floor board when not in use. Both front and rear factory seat belts are still functional and can be used. Not expensive at all either. Now I am set for my first track day at Roebling Road in Savannah, Georgia on November 11 and 12.

Nice!

That's pretty cool!

Double check with your tech people with whatever organization you're running with. Some will not allow this system.

I checked and they are ok with it. This is a HPDE event not racing. I remember last year a few folks had this setup. I just could not remember the name of it. This will be better than mounting the harness bar like my old setup.

Go to your local Chevy dealer and have parts order a seat belt extender for a 2018 Camaro. They are no charge from GM.
Cut the webbing from the part that inserts into the stock buckle.
Insert it when you are using your Schroth Rallye 4 ASM harness.
Keeps the seat belt warning system from activating.

I cant find anything for the Camaro (or Chevy in general) on the website. Did you just use the Ford harness?

Great stuff. I'll have to pick a set of those up when I get my ZL1.

There is no Camaro Harness. You have to use the universal Rallye 4 ASM Harness. You cannot use the Ford harness, the buckles are different from manufacturers. Ford buckles will not fit in GM.

I wonder how safe these are routed through the head rest how you have it. Is it comfortable around your neck when you are locked in? How tall are you if you dont mind me asking.

Does anyone know if this will work with a HANS Device?

I believe their website states it WILL NOT work with a HANS device.
