Then you just aren’t listening. Look at Juiced’s site. MBRP T409 catbacks are only $2-300 more going to 5th to 6th gen. That’s with the 6th gen system having a tuned j-pipe system and 2 more tips. That’s all R&D and material cost.

Why are you comparing a bargain tier exhaust company to someone like say CORSA or Borla? That’s being misleading.

No YOU are not listening. Apples to apples. Its 750 or so more. why?

Apples to apples indeed.:smiling1:

A 5th gen 2.5” ATAK catback 140356 from Juiced is $1250

This is what Borla suggests on how to build a catback per this post:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...64&postcount=1
Get the 6th gen 2.75” ATAK dual tip axleback 11923: $793
Get the 6th gen non-AFM midpipe 60607: $573

Total is $1366. That’s only $116 difference.

At MSRP, 140356 is $1442.
11923 and 60607 is $1637.

Difference of $200. But please tell me you’re not buying at MSRP because I’d have to laugh at you even harder.

With the discount codes that Juiced will give you just for asking, the difference comes out to right around $40 between the 5th gen system and the 6th gen one.

Weak sauce. They only make a 3" non NPP catback for 6th gen. 5th gen only has a 2.5 offered that is not a special request. Both are 304 same company, no AFM, no NPP, dual tip. So yes, it is as close as can be. Stop playing dumb.

Your just moving the goal post everything your proven wrong. This demonstrates that your just dishonest.

Discount codes? GTFO. Next you will say some BS about by used its cheaper. Its simple stupid: Many 6th gen systems cost up to double of the 5th gen and there really is no good reason for it.

Also, your example illustrates more of my points.
1. You have to cut your exhaust. That adds more cost.
2. this is not a bolt on.

But since your so smart and always right this should be easy for you:
Find a 6th gen 304 true bolt on 3" system w/mufflers new for less than 1200 or less. Go ahead and prove me wrong. I do not think you will even try. You will probably deflect and claim victory.

My friend bought an MBRP catback for his 6th gen and it was only $700 or $800 can't remember. I however paid Right at $2000 for my AWE catback but I liked the sound of it a lot more than the others.

4th gens are the fastest rides $ to $. If I had time for a protect it would be in T-Tops!

You're still not comparing similar products. The 3" system from Borla is for "high power" applications. Similar 3" systems from Borla are different by about $200.
Here’s the relevant quote from lisa@borla from my post above:
Quote:

This modular approach allows you to choose just a rear section (axle-back), just an x-pipe, or combine a rear section with an x-pipe to make a full cat-back. You decide how you want to customize your car.
Borla 140356:
catback
2.5"
304 stainless steel
No AFM
No NPP
dual tip
$1250

Borla 11923 + 60607:
catback
2.75"
304 stainless steel
No AFM
No NPP
dual tip
$1366

Similar enough? Good.

Again, it's not the exhaust company's fault that GM decided to use a one piece catback system.

You're absolutely right though. There are no 6th gen 3" T304 catbacks for <$1200.

But to say many of them are close to double the cost is straight up lying. The biggest disparity I see on Juiced's site is maybe the Corsa at $600 more vs the 5th gen system. That's not double the cost though.

Maybe math isn't your strong suit. :smiling1: Nor your shopping skills: posting/comparing MSRPs, not looking for codes, not looking for a good vendor. I wouldn't buy an exhaust used personally. There's lots of good vendors here, support them. I've mentioned Juiced Motorsports a lot, that's where I got my exhaust. RDP is good, Phasetek is good.

Most of your arguments are strawman. And no, most of the 3" 304 systems from 5th to 6th are up to double the cost. That is a fact you run away from.

Even the axle backs are 50% more.

You have offered nothing to refute this.

6th gen setups, on avg, are significantly higher price up and down.

Again, your missing the point. Finding a deal is a separate issue from the base price to base price.

On a side note my shopping skills would beat on you like a rented SS but that is not the point.
