I am curious as to why you have to put in your vin number to order one.

I saw that too and I am curious why would that be needed.

That way the DMV can flag your car as non-compliant for emissions (at least i'd imagine CA doing that ) heh.

It is for the ECU reflash, every tune has to be specified with the VIN otherwise the engine will not run.

This is the message that displays when you click on the ? above the text box where you enter your VIN.

In order to build the proper supercharger system, Whipple requires the 17 digit VIN number from the vehicle. This info is kept confidential and is only used for supercharger build.

Thank you for the info. I saw that but I just can't figure out how that is required to build the proper supercharger but what do I know

has anyone seen this thing yet? its on the site claiming 600rwhp but i cant find anything else anywhere.

clanky 07-06-2016 05:55 PM

Wonder how much the optional warranty is. Also does it only cover the products it comes with or ?

Might have to tell the wife imma buy myself my christmas present early ;)

JoeAyalaM 07-06-2016 06:11 PM

It says:

COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2016

600 RWHP on 91 octane!.

The Whipple SC is maybe the best recognized one for the Mustang GT. They use a 2.9L SC and claim much cooler intake air temperatures than other systems.

I wonder if the other vendors/porducers will agree...

Blackhawklsx 07-06-2016 06:12 PM

i dont even see any vendors selling it. lol
it says there is an optional powertrain warranty. id imagine it compares to the magnacharger warranty

oh, we posted at the same time i think. that would make sense. didnt see the date, thanks
