What Type of HP you plan on getting out of it.
How easy is the Programing to update.

I was just planing on SuperCharging the L99 as soon as a kit is aviable.
I curently am using HP tuner on my curent BowTie.
It is a 5.3 W/Magnuson FI on it.
The supercharger came witha tune and I am now Just refining it.
Long tube headers free flow cats and Wide band sensor.

The rest is time playing with the software.

From what I read it should not be to complicated..the challenge is that I am planning on running a carb..Looking for mid/upper 500 hp range (RWHP) and mid 500lbs of torque..doing a lot of research...or more

500/500; I am getting close to that out of my 5.3 w/6lbs of boost (intercooled) and a tweeked tune with some additonal power mods.
The bad on my ride is I loose close to 50% at rear wheel.

Not sure on what to expect out of the 6.2 but should be 30%-40% over stock
intercooled.

Why a Carb? FI is so much more efficent and tune'able.
Good book: Engine Managment advanced tuning, By Greg Banish.

I did not know a thing about full injection till I got my 88Jeep.
always loved my big double pumpers.

My $0.02 HighTech RedNeck

I feel you on the Fuel Injection. I want to do the Carb to be different and unique

There was a story on here somewhere that some automotive engineers were reevaluating the carb. I don't know the outcome of that research, but it might be possible to make a powerful carb. Conventional wisdom would suggest that a fuel-injected engine would give you more of what you want in terms of power and efficiency, though.

With Long tube headers free flow cats the LSX 454 will make up to 600 RWHP
and 600+ of torque,Look at this from highperformancepontiac.com this car was at SEMA.

Quote:

In factory form, the G8 GXP features a 6.2L (376-cu.-in.) V-8 rated at 415 horsepower (309 kW) and 415 lb.-ft. of torque (562 Nm), but the new LSX454 (part number 19166972) delivers 7.4 liters of unadulterated grunt. It cranks out 638 horsepower (476 kW) and 600 lb.-ft. of torque (813 Nm). The engine uses the LSX Bowtie cylinder block, new six-bolt LSX cylinder heads and an all-forged rotating assembly. Backing the LSX454 is the GXP’s Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission.

And yes it is carbed if you want EFI get a LS7 intake or one from FAST I am thinking of the new FAST 102 cc.

That's cool! We went LS7 in our car...to match the 427 in our '69.
