ouch!!

Well that sucks. Sorry!
|
Please remove that picture...it hurts! Sorry bud...I'm sure it can be fixed
|
My wife has done the same thing in the past, it is very hard to keep your cool at times like that. I luckily have never curbed a wheel in my life.
|
Send her to Bondurant. They use the Camaro SS for their school.
But I think we are simply up against the visibility problem that has been recounted on this site since the introduction. It is nearly impossible to get a feel for where the front right corner is because of the high belt and fender unless you are driving the car all the time. Maybe you need to just let her drive it MORE. |
Thanks guys... I couldn't speak to her for hours...I have owned many cars and has never hit a curb either... It's about taking your time and just paying attention... But she took out a huge chunk of that Pirelli... Do I need to replace?? Will that affect the integrity of the tire??

I guarantee that she will never want to drive your car again.

man, that definitely sucks

Sorry man, that sucks. Go easy on her, hopefully you'll have her longer than tha car. As for the tire, for peace of mind, I'd replace it. That's just my opinion and what I'd do.

I have never seen a curb rash that ate the tire.
|
Damn where was she driving at? Sorry to see that. :(

Enough said.

Why did she drive it in the first place? :noidea:
My bud asked me if he could take my car for a ride. I told him that he had a better chance of taking my wife for a ride! :happyanim: |

I would let a tire person look at the tire. The sidewall is usually the thinnest part of the tire. I do not know what ply the sidewalls are on the Pirellis but that looks nasty being where it is. It is the transition from the bead section to the sidewall so I would let someone who can get an actual eye on it look at it for safety sake. |
