My reaction to these tho?
And while there's a good chance this is it, just know there's no guarantee. (I imagine Number 3 could back me up on this.)

GM would not likely be trying out multiple lamps. Headlamp tooling is expensive.

Now the question is this the base lamp? An uplevel lamp?

Note the "pre DV" notation. This means pre Design Validation. So from that it could be an early lamp used to try some things out.

Regardless from previous history, someone at the supplier WILL be fired or GM would likely threaten future business. GM can only influence the supplier here and can't actually do the firing.

Also from an earlier post GM would not do a release like this for interest. They would do like they did for the Volt and more recently the Equinox and show a front teaser shot of the lamp installed. Showing test part from a dumpster isn't it.

They did it for the 2010 models. Course it seems like those prototypes were out a lot longer

If it was only a prototype, it'd be pretty valuable considering you could make your own custom 2016 Camaro prototype that wasn't even released to the public. But considering this Camaro is a for sure thing unlike the 2010s were at first, I'm guessing these are the real deal

I can say this is not the only part that has gotten out. I have personally bought parts to save them from not getting pics taken or being released. GM needs to solve this flaw in there parts system.

Yeah but a year from now they're not worth anything special... lol
What else has gotten out?

GroundhogSS 02-09-2015 01:08 PM

Maybe they could rummage around in the dumpster some more and come up with some tail lights. :D

Guys that is the 6gen lights, like the bumpers out there. :)

So we can scrutinize/examine/over-think/speculate about it like we expect ourselves to.

:word:

I've heard of this happening to cars not revealed/released yet. As well as seen parts to GM cars before revealed/released in this same manner.

GoldCartridgeGamer 02-09-2015 02:47 PM

Listing shows it has ended...hmm could be sold or not. Also, I've heard 6th gen bumpers are in the wild. Yet to find a picture.
