SMH at this...:emoticon1:

I'm with you Hyper. I will wait a bit before discussing with my dealer. BTW, I love your signature.

Definitely a computer glitch. :sm5: We've been hacked. :confused0068: Hope they don't start all our A8 cars at once. :scared:

So, I picked up my new Camaro last night. The salesman and general manager swore up and down that the warranty starts when you take the car. For peace of mind, I took the 1-page Chevy warranty sheet and wrote some legalese at the bottom about the warranty starting yesterday and then I, the salesman, and the general manager all signed it. So, at least I have a record that this was the condition of sale. :iono:

The "glitch" seems to be corrected, my car is showing the build date as the start date as are a number of in stock cars I checked at other dealers. I'm told it can take up to 72 hours for this site to update after a car is marked sold on the dealer's system.

If the mileage on the warranties show 36,000, 60,000 that means the system has not been updated with your sales information, i.e. the car hasn't been "punched". The updated numbers would reflect the mileage on your sales contract, ours was 16, so the updated info should have numbers like 30,016, 60,016 and 100,016.

That is really excellent info. Thanks very much for sharing it! :thumb:

Yep. Mine has been updated. Correct expiration date now showing. System has been de-hacked. :typing:

And the site has now been updated with the actual warranty info :)

Car purchased 4/23/2016 so they punched it the day before, no biggie.

My warranty info has now also updated on the site to what it should be! WHAT A FREAKING RELIEF!

Thank you for posting this information. I am taking possession later today, so I indeed want to ensure I am not being shortchanged on the warranty.

:thanks:

If the vehicle was used as a demo unit and has 600 miles on it does this get cycled into the warranty or is it lost miles?

Glen e 06-24-2016 09:37 AM

Ask Chevy Cust service here, some mfrs do, some don't...

My warranty was extended by the number of miles they wrote on the docs that it was supposed to have when delivered to me. In my case, it was 9 miles, so my 36,000 mile warranty runs until 36,009.

As it turns out, my car had more miles on it than that when I received it. :mad0260:

Took delivery today car had 932 on the clock and so they extended my warranty to 36,932
