Just a bit under $1300 Canadian for 1 year full coverage, full replacement value of $125K. I'm running Alberta plates as it's $4K a year to run BC plates.

Agreed loss value 100K.

Grundy is collector / classic car insurance?

Good to know. I ended up going with Hagerty on my 2022 SS 1LE - around $1200/yr. Long Island, NY.

I did Hagerty with the Drive Club (I think that was $85 yr. Its like triple A with some other benefits) for 950 a yr for my new '24 with an agreed on value for sticker. I also have an $2500 deductible. If you can afford it the higher the deductible the lower your rate is.

I paid about 800 a year but I'm hours from the closest city and rarely drive it. Location matters. I would entertain higher insurance costs just to register it somewhere I don't have to get an inspection.

Yet the lower your deductible is the less of a hit it is when you do take damage.

Just had my 2010 totalled out and a 2500 deductible would have basically cost me that much more for the replacement.

I'll keep my $100 deductible thanks.

Keeping higher deductibles saves money over time. Moral of the story is don't get into accidents through fault of your own, and carry UM coverage to protect yourselves from the idiots who don't carry insurance. I keep higher deductibles now, but I also keep money in the pot for such events, should I have to come up with it. I've saved a lot more than my deductible over the years just through the reduction in premiums.

Deductibles
$200 for comp
$1000 for collisions

Limits

That's a thing? Hmmmmmm.....

I'm paying a bit less then $2000 cdn a year, but mine's also valued at half yours just being a 1SS, but the sound of paying less then half price... sounds awfully tempting..

Do you have an Alberta address as well or, can you just do that?

Edit: Just realized you're also on the island. Hey neighbor!

I'm up between Campbell River and Comox. I worked in Alberta and lived there most of my life. My company is still registered there and I still keep an address there so for me it was very easy, I just had the dealer register a spare Alberts plate I had to the car. I saved the PST and the BC luxury tax as well. You would need to have an address there, then get an out of province inspection done to do it.

Nice, I'm near Qualicum Beach.

Damn! That rules me out then. Still, sweet gig! Also, no front plate is a nice bonus. I still haven't put my front plate or even installed the mount for it. The front of the car just looks too good to muck up!
