Those are not helpful, most phones will alert of unknown trackers traveling with you, and if the person/theif has an iphone the airtags can easily be found.

You can remove the speaker from the AirTags so it won’t make a sound. I did that and hid it where it will be harder to find.

An AirTag still has to be removed and charged periodically, right? That was another drawback for me.

Just have mine to the battery for now, but am moving when i install subs and amp etc. Probably come off my battery with sub wire and shrink wrap it to sorta hide it. But they will think its for amp power on... I ran wires to side of trunk and put it on the rear speaker deck over the sheetmetal but benieth the trim panel.. great reception.

BTW, on these trackers, they need a subscription. I have one very similar to the Optimus (probably made by the same manufacture) called Brickhouse. The sub for that each month was $24.99, I called and told them I was going to cancel. They gave me two months for free and dropped the monthly price to $8.99 per month. Probably will work if you call your company and say the same thing, worth a try.

I have the Gen5 DIY radar detector line, and I bought it with pigtails for a dash cam, so I just made another Y off that line, and ran that down to a GPS that's well hidden.

Also went with the Optimus, and I think it's $10 / mo. Works very well.

Finally got my Igla installed this week so that's a HUGE sigh of relief.

They want my car, gonna have to tow it.
