Sounds great...... but I think you have the wrong person.

The hood is a VIS racing hood called a terminater full carbonfiber. I had this hood on my Rs and now on my ss. Fits perfectly right out of the box. Has rain trays that can be removed for full heat release. I drive with the trays out always. Even in light rain not a big deal. But I will say that with the trays in they should ofer the zl1 radiator drip tray catch. When siting in the rain the water gos out to the radiator.
I would buy this again. The pics don't do this hood justice. Takes a little getting used to the three inch cowl. Alls good.
Hope I didn't ramble to much. The weave of the carbonfiber cloth is AWSOME
