Thanks man- this is some good info. I'm getting a 2SS with the Auto so I won't have to worry about it. I'm still learning about the Camaro, and I'm trying to do searches before I ask questions.
Skip shift is in the manual SS cars. It forces you to shift from 1st to 4th gear during slow exceleration to conserve gas. If you excelerate to about 2500rpms in first before shifting it will let you shift normal. It's a stupid thing that GM uses to get around the Gas Guzzler tax on some vehicles. My mother has it on her 2004 Z06 Corvette also. It's only on the Manual SS so if your getting a V6 or an Auto you don't need to worry about it.
