That sucks , but I dont blame you! Make sure to get ahold of me if your heading out to any other fests. Ill update you on my trip to Bowling Green , hopefully I can get my wife to video some of my passes. I had her launch the car yesterday for the first time and she did great! I may let her make a few passes down there. That might bring a tear to the eyes of Dodge owners getting beat by a Camaro with a women driving it! As far as the record Ill be chasing you if you keep putting down those 1.8x 60's!

So I've had a change of heart. I was pretty jazzed about getting up to Kentucky to do some racing, but as time has passed, the thought of driving 2000 miles for 1 day of racing has lost it's charm. I wish the venue was closer and the weather cooler. Maybe the next c5 fest will be the one to attend. I'm sure I'll still be stock and chasing your record. Sorry I won't get to meet you, but give 'em hell, and good luck.

    Hey Vince,
For one thing living in Canada isnt going to give you the E.T.s your looking for more than likely. Im not sure of the altitude you live at but it along with the weather will affect your car GREATLY. Have you tried going to Dragtimes.com and altitude adjusting your best E.T. for the track and weather you ran in? You may be running better than you think! As far as launching my car I pre stage then right before i stage the car I bring the RPMs up to 3500-4500 and slip the clutch just enough to get my stage beam on. Then on the last yellow I ease out on the clutch and start laying into the throttle as the car is hooking up. To quick of a release and it'll spin. Ive noticed on my car that just a lil wheel spin has utilized the best 60'. A dead hook and it trys to bog the motor down. Good Luck

    Hello my name is Vince

I am 24 years old and I just bought my self my first camaro, it is a 2010 camaro ss manual (still bone stock), I have been dragging my car and I cant seem to break the 13's (best time 13.1), my best 60 feet is 2.1, I have seen that you are ranked # 1 on the fast list with 12.5 and you have a 60 feet of 1.9. Can you tell me how exactly you launch your car, what am I not doing right??? At what RPM do you rev at before slipping the clutch & how much throttle do you give while slipping the clutch???

I am sorry, I know that this type of question is hard to answer but any advice would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time

I made some passes a few days ago and wow, was I disappointed. The temp was @ 84, humidity 70%, DA was something like 1900. My best run was a 13.2x. Racing in Kentucky in august is gonna suck. I may have stuck my foot in my mouth thinking I would crack 12's up there.

I'm gonna change your name to NHRA "Stalker"! Wouldn't you be pissed if you were me? The same damn car will be in the area. Maybe someone from faraway will buy it.
Becky (our new dealer) said we'll just have to drive by their dealership and wave.

Still thinking Wednesday for yours? Did you tell them not to allow anyone to test drive it? I'm sure you have covered all those potential problems!

New order is at 3000. Old order is at 2000. Guess they didn't cancel it. They better have changed the color at least!

We were at 2500 yesterday morning. Maybe we'll have a TPW tomorrow or early next week. I saw that Canada's Thanksgiving is the beginning of Oct., and the plant will be shut down the week of Oct. 9. That will delay things a bit. Still, we've gotten farther in one week than we have since May 8! Did you find out anything?
