Give your Mom my regards and tell her I know how she feels and I will pray for her work and life situations to work out to her best advantage....I can't imagine having her pain...I also know how hooked most of us are on this forum, and yes, it takes our time away from our "better halves"...I guess there is such a thing as moderation...fortunately, for me right now, my husband has been very supportive, because he knows how much joy and camaraderie I get from the forum, and it is a distraction from the pain of losing my Dad and me being very sick for the last 2 yrs...loooonnng story on that...still going through the health issues...I actually had to go to a wake tonight...my Dad's cousin died...it was really tough walking into a funeral home with my Dad's family that I last saw at his wake...even wearing the same "funeral clothes" was hard, as I remember buying them for my Dad's wake last Sept.......... :(

Congrats on being a police officer...the first 2 people to see my car when i drove it home from Virginia to NY were my police friends...they came in their police cars while on duty, they were that excited...i already gave one of them a ride after duty, he didn't want his gun belt to rip the leather seats...LOL...i met them last year when they were the police escorts for my Dad's Fire Dept. funeral procession, which included every truck from the dept. and my family rode in the Chiefs' cars...the police directed traffic at each intersection we passed...my Dad got the send-off befitting a President and he deserved it after serving his community for 60 yrs!!!

I knew there was a reason I liked you...my Dad was a Volunteer Firefighter for our local town for 60 yrs and was honored in March 2008 and he passed away on Sept.18th, 2008...
Are you a firefighter or police officer???...I have many friends of both professions...
