Pete,
Thanks for the reply. Your handy work on this flaps looks nice. The ZL1 actually comes stock with a slightly narrower version of the flap you have created. Not sure if it is enough to catch the stray debris that comes up. I've got a clear bra film all along the lower half of my doors, fully wrapped front fenders, and over the rear gills and quarter panels. Hopefully it will defend that paint as it has been doing. Best investment I ever made for sure!
Rockrau,
I actually was inspired by the Pedder's Camaro set-up for this wheel and tire combo. I don't have the Xa coil overs or the stiffer sway bar; as I am running stock suspension and bars as to what the ZL1 came with. I figured I wanted to learn to drive this car well relatively stock and then look to upgrade after I focus on "the nut behind the wheel" first.
So with that in mind, I am borrowing the Pedder's Camaro tire and wheel combo: 19x10.5 Forgeline wheels and 305/30/19 Bridgestone RE-11 tires in all four corners. I really wanted to keep a true Square Set up so that I can more easily rotate my tires throughout the Track Season to help lengthen the life of my tires. Mark, from Forgeline, said they could make all 4 wheels the same and then provide Spacer Plates for the front wheels to allow for proper fitting. He initially proposed custom fitment for both front and rear but then that would defeat the purpose of being able to easily rotate the tires; so I figured the Spacer Plate option would be the way to go.
Would really appreciate you at Pete's comments (and anyone else who has implemented or evaluated this or a similar setup) and provide ideas as to whether you think I'm on the right path or if you think there is something I should look out for.
Thanks again for the feedback!
