The weather was just great when I woke up this morning. Let's go for a little cruise. Destination: USA
Left at 10:00 a.m. back for 7:00 p.m. Syracuse is a nice little town with lots and lots of US flags! Enjoyed a fantastic view of the St-Laurent over the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge at Ogdensburg and the Thousand Islands International Bridge at Wellesley.
Crossing the CA-USA border at Ogdensburg, the agent asked me:
"Is it a new car?" No, it is 15-months old.
"Is it your car?" Yes, it is.
"Who owns that car?" I do.
"Where are you going and why?" Just going to Syracuse for the day for a car ride, enjoying the nice weather.
"Do you know anybody in Syracuse?" No.
"Are you meeting anyone in Syracuse?" No, I don't know anybody there.
"How long will you stay?" Just a few hours.
"Open the trunk!"
Crossing the USA-CA border on my way back, the agent asked me:
"How long have you been in USA?" A few hours.
"Why did you come to USA?" Just a little cruise.
"Did you buy anything?" No.
"Cigarette, alcohol?" No.
"Open the trunk!"
Today I saw 3 other Camaros:
1) A black one when I was leaving Ottawa on the Queensway;
2) A burgundy one around Cicerio when I was heading north on I-81;
3) A white one near Theresa just before the border.
All in all, it is worthed to go to USA just to fill up the tank at $2.86 a gallon!!
