Info from event staff:
Thank you again for your interest in our show!!! We are so looking forward to our event and from the response's it looks like it is going to a good turn out. My name is Becky Kempton and I am Bravo Co 96 ASB/101st CAB FRG leader. FRG stands for Family Readiness Group, we are here to support the soldiers and their families both here at our duty station( FT Campbell) and when they are away downrange to other countries.
Our origination solely runs off of donations and fund raisers that we do. The money raised at these events go towards helping out the soldiers and their families in things like providing Easter parties and Christmas parties for the kids, buying sheet sets and blankets and pillows to set up our single soldier rooms so that when they return from downrange they have a place that feels like home. We also use the money for less fortunate soldiers in the lower ranks to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner boxes of food for the holidays and Easter baskets for the kiddos during that holiday. There are so many uses that this money goes for that I could probably take up a couple of pages listing everything. We have a very large Company, about 305 Soldiers alone not counting their spouses and children.
This event is a family event and yes we do have sponsor's and still have some of them coming in. Clarksville Speedway, Whitts
Barbeque, Gay Matthews Dealership just to name a few. There will be trophy's handed out in all categories and the judging will be done by the contestants. We have food vendors that will be onsite and a large area for our local craft vendors to display for all the ladies that want to spend the day with their hubby but doesn't want to look at cars.
I am enclosing the flyer to our show along with the car show registration and the craft show registration and vendor application. Please feel free to get this out to all of your club and any others that would like to spend the day here in Clarksville with us supporting our soldiers of the 96th ASB/101st.
