this is really interesting urr2slo. Thanks for the comparison. My factory oil gauge hit 300 after a bunch of laps at VIR last fall, which kind of spooked me. Anyhow, I have a Setrab oil cooler up front now, and I think it is going to help the engine keep cooler anyways. I have an SLP supercharger and it is going to add a lot of heat in there, so taking the coolant loop out of the oil cooler is going to help the front rad do more work for the engine coolant, and let the oil cool in the new Setrab unit.
BTW I ended up getting Mobil 1 10W30 synthetic for the summer. Will put 5W30 in this fall. I find I have to change my oil more frequently than the computer says, just gets really awful even if I leave it in there for 60-70% of what the computer says. Guess it is a lot of hard driving that does it
BTW I am running Castrol SRF for my brake fluid and it is awesome. Wet and dry boiling points both near 600 as I recall.
