I have been asked to coordinate a possible ACE5 meet-up with the "southeast Camarovan"! There are many routes you can take to Indy, that was one of the stops on the Hot Rod Power Tour last year, and I drove home from there last year, so I feel pretty comfortable with it. I am not sure of the exact route they are taking yet, but the proposed route is on the first page of the thread for the Southeast Camarovan to Indy thread. I know some of the groups from Florida, North and South Carolina will be meeting up in Geeenville, SC and Asheville, NC to caravan. I will definitely be joining them, likely in Ashevillle, as I enjoy driving through the Smokies and will enjoy meeting up with that group. For some of you that don't live on the East or Northeast sides of town, this may be really out of the way. You will need to look at this and decide what you want to do. Another possible place for some of us to hook up with the Camarovan is Knoxville. We still have almost 6 months, but planning early will help. I'll keep you posted!

Kinda hard to stick together when some travel at 75mph and some at
100-120mph.

If we can get Dex to slowdown or the tail waggers to speed up we will be fine..

The Camarovan is leaving Thursday from SC. That's when I planned to leave too. It's a manageable drive in one day.

I'm cool with whatever is decided. I was also thinking that us on the northend would travel to Ash/Greenville, SC. and for those further south we could hook up with them in Knoxville, Tn. For those who are worried about travel speed, I'm sure I'm not leading the group. Odd that I get passed though LOL.

I'll go wherever the majority of the group goes. However, I think it'd be wise to pick out a good meeting spot for wherever we meet the clubs further north. Let's not have 45 camaros jamming up a McDonalds....

Might be nice to check into possible police escort from the meeting point to the interstate. Sounds like overkill I know, but I'm the one who was stuck at that red light at the MTI meet. Taking pictures....

I'm going up I-75 and will meet you guys in knoxville....I don't really wanna drive the additional miles it would take to go through asheville.

We should do our own little caravan and go up 75 N and meet the caravan at point D....

It seems like that would be the shortest way... at least from my house its two hours longer to go up 85 N through Asheville and what not.


From Duluth GA- 10 hours, 8 minutes and 600 miles. (going I-75 N)
From Duluth GA- 11 hours, 21 minutes and 671 miles. (going I-85 N through Asheville)

Both of those routes allow us to meet the caravan at point D.

I like that plan Dex! I think its gonna depend on what time the other groups from SC and such plan on getting to knoxville. (if we are gonna roll with them)
