I know this requires a tuner. I asked Ron at Vengeance about this, and he told me $75 to flip the switch. Seems like a lot for 2 minutes of time. Anyone with a hand held tuner that could help a feller out? Is there a limitation on these tuners that they can only be used on one car?

Might as well go ahead and pay the $75! I do not think you can use some one elses handheld tuner , they are VIN specific unless you reset the whole thing!

What is it that you don't like about AFM?

probably the kicking in and out of it, and the drone that comes with it! Or the change in the exhaust note! Thats my guess!

What csjcsj said All of the above. After driving the manual, I cannot stand AFM. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea behind it, but if you replace your exhaust as I did, and know what the car feels like without it, AFM is difficult to live with.

Guess the reason the handhelds are VIN specific is so they can sell more! Plus not everyones car is the same from the factory, and first time use loads your stock tune in it!
