Just bought the car yesterday. It needs exhaust. Thanks!!!

wife LOVES how the car sounds stock with the NPP set to "TRACK", which is basically the same as pulling the NPP fuse (#71?), I usually drive in TRACK MODE to make it bark more.

I want to put Long Tube headers on (jet hot coated) and maybe no CATs (less heat since we are in SC, and less cost of exhaust plumbing?).

most threads say Longtubes are zero gain over stock manifolds until over ZL1 power levels, so not really worth it in my case as a DD & weekend fun car. just something I want.

ZL1 guys established in another thread (https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=637088) quality headers can be zero maintenance, and last forever. but they can be LOUD.

how loud would Long tubes be with no CAT, with the stock Suitcase and the NPP shut, in STEALTH mode.

we have a small one car garage, and a remote start is LOUD with the NPP open, and sometimes it smells bad if you leave it idling too long. so even if I remote start it, I have to open the garage door (have a remote inside house) and then prop open the back door, to keep the smell out of the house.

will the remote start stench get worse without cats?
I read some guys are running E85 to minimize Stinky Starts.

in other words, STEALTH mode as a daily driver,
NPP be "automatic" for fun driving,
NPP in "track" mode when being an "annoying butthole"
(my wife's assessment of me making the pipes rattle)

There is a new 5-inch jlt which looks great but i also see rotofab everywhere I look, is the upgraded jlt a sleeper and better than the roto? i also noticed the big gulp route which i noticed is another game however I'm unsure if that's only lt4. So, all in all, is the 5-inch jlt better than the common rotofab.

I was originally planning on modding my car this past winter, but decided I didn’t want to tear into a low-mileage engine. Warm weather is here again and now I’ve got the itch again. Previously, I was torn between FI and NA. Now, I’m strictly NA.

I don’t want a big cam. Although the car isn’t a daily driver, I still want it to have good manners and drive without stock-like. I don’t race it and don’t plan to. It’s never driven in the rain, so it may sit days to weeks before being started. I just want to wake it up and make those street pulls a lot more fun and add a little more muscle car sound to it. I don’t live in the upper rpm’s all the time, so I need something that behaves good in the lower rpm’s as well. It is the M6 version.

For those of you with experience in cams and bolt-ons, please recommend some cams and components that would compliment each other. I’m open to porting the oem heads- not so much wanting to buy aftermarket ones.

I want to do all the work myself except the tuning. I’ve never installed a cam before, but I’ve been pretty deep in motors before and know my way around a garage and tools. So, let me know what you guys think would be the best combo for me.
