I believe it is a real improvement even in this heat I do not feel the computer pulling timing out like I did with the water cooled oil cooler. Running down the road the oil temp stays in the mid 170 degree range on a 100 degree day. I added a digital oil temp gauge to compare to the untrue stock gauge,the stock gauge is a computer algorithm based off water temp. the stock gauge reads 225 to 235 degrees f The hottest I have seen my oil , in 103 degrees ambient was idling in traffic was 200 F it is a good move, I believe you are adding capacity to the radiator by removing the oil cooler from it.
