Question Sunroof Question

Hello:

Quick question - anyone with a sunroof having an issue with the EXPRESS CLOSE?

I have a 1LT 2017 and the sunroof will express open just fine but I have to hold the button in order to close it.

Just checking to make sure it's not some weird "that's how it is" thing

Thanks!

James

No Express close, have to hold switch down all the way until completely closed. Safety issues.

It's NOT safety issues. Every other manufacturer has one touch open/close moonroofs and have for years. My 2009 Accord had it. If it sensed even a feather's weight of resistance before it was fully closed it quickly reversed all the way open. And I tried it.

Poor engineering is the only logical reason GM omitted it on the Camaro.

There is nothing Honda can do that GM can't do. Obviously GM chose not to do it. Just like Honda chooses not to make a rear drive car with a V8.

In the owner's manual it specifies "Express Close" as a function that is suppose to happen on the Camaro if equipped with a sunroof. Is "Express Close" verified by dealership as non-existent function? I currently have an appt. at the dealership for them to look at it since it was listed in the owner's manual.

Listen smart asses, it's in the owners manual that our cars have one touch closing sunroofs.

GM screwed this thing up. There are a few threads on this.

Exclamation THIS!

Thank you! This is precisely why I'm asking - and I appreciate the replies from EVERYONE - it says it's supposed to EXPRESS CLOSE but I don't know if I want to waste my time at the dealer for them to tell me it's working as intended.

When is your appointment Waxmerchant? Mine is Wednesday...

Maybe the people responsible for the manual are the screw ups?

My Opin: The manual is a cut-and-paste from other cars thats done in the past, this one slipped through. If you go to the dealership they're going to tell you that it's normal , it does not have express close.
