I think Camaro is not only chasing Corvette performance numbers but Corvette sales numbers, and Corvette pricing......

From last month. GM was too slow to update the PDF file

Thanks for the update. Hopefully GM is making money on the Camaro line. I'm glad the company as a whole is doing well.

I just have a hard time believing that GM set a goal of selling half as many Camaros as Ford sells Mustangs or even selling 25% less than GM sold of the 5th gen Camaro.

If retail sales are going up, and all they have cut is low/no profit fleet sales, then good for them. I remain suspicious of that being the case for the Camaro, although the strategy seems to be working well for the company as a whole.

So, a friend of the family who is a corporate lawyer for one of GM's suppliers and his brother went on a tour last week of one of the suppliers for some Camaro parts facility (I think he said they make something to do with the gauge clusters). His brother is a car guy, and Mustang owner actually, asked the manager how they were doing with the Camaro sales being low. He was told they are actually over the projected numbers for the parts. So take it for what it's worth, but it seems like the numbers are just where GM planned them to be, and if anything a little better. I've said it before, it's not just about sales numbers when it comes to making the net profit you want...

Well, instead of being down 40+% and the Camaro has been for the previous two months, it was only down 26%.

Production vs sales. There are at least 24,500 6th gens on dealer lots. That is about a four month supply. GM is building plenty of them and I've posted before what I've been told about projected production being high, so I'm not surprised the supplier is above their projected numbers.

As long as sales are producing enough profit for the Camaro, they don't bother me.
