....I personally would not buy any stock in that theory. Look at the C7 'Vette, and the rebirth of the Stingray name for example. I am not sure anyone could argue there are any styling clues in association with the name, it is much farther a design forward, rather than anything backward incorporating any retro design. Retro is passe.

The '70-style ROCKS!

The front doesnt look right... make the beak more pointy, add fog lights, get rid of the bottom vent, add some halos... i bet it would look a lot better.

I don't understand the logic here. Why does GM need to go with the 2ndgen F-body? Does the 7thgen need to look like a 3rdgen?

Right now, the Camaro is a recognizable, awesome vehicle. If GM continues with the styling cues of the current Camaro, GM would be able to evolve an already awesome car. Why should they risk a revolution with every new generation? They'd be potentially killing a new product with risky design. We saw the 5thgen in 2006 as a concept, and it took a lot of time to convert to a production vehicle. With plans to introduce the 6thgen in a limited time, we have yet to see a unique concept vehicle that we can either accept or reject. If they make a 2ndgen-looking car with modern lines and it isn't a hit, then the Camaro nameplate could be in jeopardy. Instead, let's keep that V-shaped grille-with-headlights front end; add something here and there; change the rear end a little; modify the interior styling; and now you've got a 6thgen that maintains the new standard of excellent design that we demanded when the 5thgen came out.

No 2nd gen. Go with an all new style. Like the Vette sting ray. Otherwise you capitalize on the 1st gen and make it closer to the actual 1st gen. But I see a total make over coming off of the 5th gen.

One thing is for sure, the next Camaro won't have circle (or semi trailer as I call them) taillights. Look at every Chevy car being produced right now, they are more square.

The 6th gen car obviously won't look like this but i wouldn't mind being able to buy this front end clip. Yeah, the front could be a lil pointier but it's a fair homage to my personal 2nd favorite and would definitely make mine unique. I would love to work side by side with the designer to get it just right.

If they make a car that looks like the car in the first picture, I'll sell the one I have now just so people don't ever know I ever owned a Camaro.

I'm not a 2nd Gen fan.

..as I recall the styling cues would be evolutionary rather than revolutionary from a past Corporate interview/article posted here.

I think it'll be derived from the 5th gen style. Just a lot more refined.

The 70's are like New Jersey, nothing good came out of them except the beginning of Jon Bon Jovi's career. Let's please leave the second gen in the junkyards and not in the 20teens. Why are we in such a hurry to get rid of this one anyway, these 5th gens rock.

Obviously none of us really knows what it might look like. But I've seen some more or less rounded off 5th gen derivatives that I could live with.
