I think it will look pretty much the same but they may round the back of the car out a little bit.

I mean you cant see out of it? Really if i can drive one so can anyone else.

Does it look like a hot wheels car? Kinda.... DO i like being in a hot wheels car? Heck yes. Now all i need is some orange track that does a bunch of flips and ill be good.

also yes its a little wide i guess... maby make it a little bit less wide to reduce weight. I mean its got a huge center console and no one can site in the middle part in the back anyway. so they could make it less wide.

Evolutionary and fresh. No need to try and think about rehashing old designs. They were good in their era, but like anything else, become dated over time.

The best thing about the 5th Gen is it is fresh, and salutes many aspects of old Camaros without looking like the old ones. Fits the overall profile and looks new.

Will it be smaller and lighter, probably? CAFE will dictate that. Will we have 4, 6, 8 Cylinders or Hybrids, probably?

I mention hybrids, and I mean this seriously, they do not have to be a Prius. THey will be technological extension on a proper performance level. Hell, if Porsche can do it, Inifniti can do it, then dog-gone it GM can get there also. It will have to happen eventually as the Market will dictate it.

GM designers got their work cut out for them to equal the Gen5. You can do it!!
Sorry guys, no vote here for mechanical headlights. Nothing worse than seeing 1-up and 1-down on the road. Hidden without mechanical? Hmm. Blackened look, Yes! How? No idea. The front fascia must absolutely have a serious looking attitude (scowl), like now, or better. The rear fascia should say, "back off, don't screw with me". The Gen6 should be THE 4-seater muscle/sport car like its alway been. The Vette is the ultimate lighter performance 2-seater. My first Camaro was the '73 with the little 350. Beautiful gold car, but don't think the front looked fierce enough for today, like Gen5.
We should be able to easily tell the difference between a Gen5 and the new Gen6. Hopefully, with another -Wow- factor. Like damn, they did it again. I think I am voting for the Gen5 gently, generous, refreshed exterior evolution too. Confused adjectives, I know.

You have 40% of the market GM. get the weight down, but doin't make the same mistake like you did in the past. The 1969 is the car that is the corner stone of the COMARO line just ask Berret Jackson or Macum auction houses. and if people want futurestic and like Audi then let them buy EUROPIEN. they probably wouldnt by GM. anyway. By AMERICAN.

Go 2nd gen! I'm already growing tired of seeing at least 1 5th gen at EVERY stop light. I wish it was like when they first came out "Oh look a camaro!" now you see quite a few(around here at least) teenage girls out driving them around and it just gets old....

Your lucky to have the rariest of all rare cars, a '76 Z28.

I'm sure hoping the 2013 has mild facelift to give us a little something different.

I think the current way they did it was the best choice. Very minimal subtle visual differences. The people who care, can see the difference. Everybody else, it all looks the same and I'm pretty sure that helps sales.
People ask for this because they don't want their higher performance V8 to look exactly like the V6. I'm not sure what the 'minimal subtle differences' are, but they must be pretty subtle. It's not a knock on either one. The V6 is an amazing engine. But it would keep the look a little more fresh when all of the cars look alike.

Exactly, I graduated from college in 1976 and the first thing I did after getting a job was buy a new Camaro. It was very disappointing to not have a Z/28 or even a SS. Bought a '78 Z/28 2 years later and it got stolen.

Continue to base it on the first generation car. Make it smaller. Visibility, visibility, visibility! Deepen the side glass. Give the interior an airy feel. If Chevy could do a true pillarless coupe while meeting safety regs that would be great. The 5th gen feels like it was made to fit a giant with its head lopped off -- over-sized by about 1.3:1). Put the handbrake on the drivers side, where it belongs. Make gauges and controls more business-like while retaining Camaro design cues. Keep manual a/c. Offer 4WD.

A V8 option must continue to be available at a reasonable cost -- don't make the car into the modern equivalent of a Mustang II. As a driver, make it strong, direct, agile, telepathic. Make HIDs available with fogs. Fogs should work with high beams on -- good for heavy rain. Make more efficient use of space. The current car's trunk opening is ridiculous -- poor design -- no excuse for that.

For some outside inspiration re coupe design look at E9 BMW 3.0 CSi.

I must say I am amazed at the speculation on this website. If you guys wrote your congressmen as much as you speculated we wouldn’t have to deal with these standards that kills our favorite cars. I shudder at the thought of a FWD camaro but I will not be surprised when it happens.

Camaro is always second to the corvette. But even the corvette has skipped a year in production. I honestly don’t understand why they have 2 high powered RWD cars just in the Chevy line. Then you have Cadillacs which I think are hideous looking. They killed olds and poncho. I agree with gmc, get rid of it or make it just a heavy duty truck line. I have a feeling this is going to be the last of cars we can tune and upgrade. The v6 DI motor should give ya an idea the future of the v8. Try to get a full tune on a v6....

Anyways enough ranting

If Chevrolet can produce a Camaro that is 90% it's current size & weight with progressive (leaner/meaner) looks of the 1st + 5th gen. and powered by direct injection 340hp V6, 460hp na V8 SS (470hp na V8 Z-28) & 720hp V8 ZL-1... they'll continue to sell as well, if not better than they do now.

Upgrade all lighting to LED w/o the euro (sunglasses) taillights... design something that can pass world standards, yet look appealing to your largest customer base, the US market.

Add some gimmicky things like a mild cam engine sound and factory exhaust cut-out options.

Try to keep entry pricing at current levels +/- inflation...

Have you ever seen a 70 1/2' steel split bumper camaro? Yes the later plastic bumper stuff wasn't the most appealing, but the steelies were beutiful.

With all the color and options availabe, you shouldn't have any trouble being unique in this Camaro. An amazing pallet for anyones imagination imho! Maybe some subtle changes in looks for the sake of having something new, but not too much. Don't mess with success Chevy!

Just the same, if GM doesnt come out the gate with 500 hp for the SS, I dare say they will be behind Ford.

its a good idea but the camaro is already a pretty wide car it'd be interesting to see how they would pull that off without being wider than a suv
