Plastic surrounding tires fell off
Hey guys. Im in a bit of trouble.
The plastic surrounding my tire fell of in the front right passenger side. I stupidly hit a curb and it started scraping on the highway when I was driving home, so to avoid a flat tire, I took off the plastic. I have a jack I can borrow from my girlfriends dad to lift the car though and either put the existing plastic back on or put new plastic that I can buy, assuming it's sold. And no, there's no other damage. It was starting to come off anyway from potholes, etc... (Thanks NY) Do you guys think it's possible to put it back on? Also, is it really necessary? As in can I drive without it? Thanks all. Best, Daniel Edit: I believe the plastic is called the inner fender.

The fender liner protects the stuff inside the fender from getting damaged from rocks and debris. So, I'd probably put it back on. Plus, it looks better having it in than seeing the inside of the bumper all exposed like that.
It looks like you broke off some of the retaining tabs molded on the front bumper that hold the liner on. I'd try to fix that and anything else that might have gotten broken before putting it back on. |
