The main product of combustion in your engine is good old H2O. It collects in cold mufflers and come blowing out of there when you start the car, carrying carbon deposits with it.

BTW, how long is your drive to work? A short drive results is a lot of water condensing in the exhaust, because the mufflers never get a chance to heat up enough for the water to evaporate.

If you have stock mufflers, check the drain holes to see if they are clogged.

Don't worry though; there's nothing wrong.

Muffler drain holes? Are these near the muffler bearings?

All the OEM mufflers have drain holes on the bottom in the rear. If you look under the car you will see them along with the black carbon deposits.

My drive is 60 miles each way. But things have gotten much worse now. LTFTs are running +25% on both banks. No codes thrown.

Ask your Boss instead !

You could go old school and install a spark plug in the tailpipes and give them a show.
