No way you will pick up 30+ HP per pound of boost.
That really sucks. Dialing up boost to be done in small increments, with tuning. I know, I know. Hindsight is 20/20. Hoping for the best for you - minor stuff.

As for HP/psi. My AGP TT setup yields 39.6 HP per pound of boost. Crazy, huh.

Haha, the car is finally ready man. It's home next week, on the boat so far.

Made crazy power lol. 1172whp on low boost 11psi. 14xx on 28psi. And couldn't dyno on boost nitrous because it was spinning so damn much even with 3 grown men in the trunk.

Sorry for thread jack guys.

Issues with my Twin Turbo Setup - Please advise!!

Thanks for the responses everyone. Im hoping for the best but we will see what happens.
For the record my car would hit 12psi and drop to 9 by the time i got to redline so i reconfigured the vacuum lines on the boost controller and got it to hold 12 psi. I didn't think it would be an issue but i should've checked with Ted to make sure.

OP sorry to hear about your troubles. If your motor is damaged, take the opportunity to forge the internals and dont look back.

For those saying it needs re-tuned for only a 3psi increase.

Whilst not being familiar with the OEM ecu...why are the tunes not being supplied so that in cases of higher boost/airflow than "normal" the tune will become very safe. ie safe timing and richer than normal ?

So certainly a mild overboost would never pose any risk to an engine

Or is that just not possible with the OEM stuff ?

To the OP....how long as the turbo install been up and running prior to this problem occurring ?

Agree strongly, especially when we are talking about the original tune hitting 12 and falling to 9 and he is just getting it to maintain 12 psi to redline.

Because car has to be able to hit those numbers to be able to tune it there. If it wouldn't hold 12psi before, you can't tune it at 12psi. You could try 15 tapering to 12, but then wouldn't have enough fuel. Plus car may have been at fuel system limits at 12 falling to 9.

So yes you can tune it for max boost, and then dial it down, but it just depends on the setup if that is possible.

So you cannot adjust any load cells or tables without actually hitting them ?

I've never used the OEM ecu, but I've also never come across a system like that

And true about fuel system etc

Depends, you can guess, and adjust them as a best guess, but without hitting them who knows.

Even then, 100+rwhp probably needs less timing and more octane.
