67 and 17 parking lot meetup
Ran into this today. All original 67 with 327 auto. Have seen this around town. It’s her daily go getter. She and husband have around 50 cars. Mostly Mopar.

Great car. It looks so much smaller and more nimble, with such a classic design. The low belt line is nice. Much classier than the new stuff. Yet, it is also a death trap with poor handling and a frame that will rust out at the drop of a hat. I do hope the 7th gen camaro takes some design cues from the old classics--lower the belt line, soften and taper the back end, more classic wheel well design, etc.

No such thing as a 1967 SS 327. Nice car anyway though,

Good call. SS would have been a 396.
It had an SS filler cap. Won’t get fooled again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The 17' Camaro is closer to the 1970/2nd gen size.

Taken with iPhone
It’s just the angle but we forget just how small these old pony cars are. They only weighed about 3000 pounds. So if you had a stock 327 with 200 HP, it moved pretty good. My dad had a 65 Falcon with a straight six and it moved well too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, the 350 was an option in 67.
These fully “optioned” cars from back in the day with upgraded engine, trans, gears, brakes, steering, and so on are the most valuable today. You could get a Ford Galaxy, Torino, or Thunderbird with a 428 CJ. Just don’t get to far from a gas station! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah they are that much bigger , and if there was a 5th gen in there it would make a 1968 Chevelle look small . Maybe not but the 5th gen did have the same wheel base as the 68 Chevelle .

Very cool I don’t think I’ve seen that car here in town. Is this in Santa Maria? I think I’m the only bright yellow SS in the 805.

There was the poor mans SS in 1967. It had everything the SS had minus the hood but did have a 275hp 327 in it. It was the fast sleeper grocery getter.
