As someone who owns an 86 iroc (now had a 406 in it) the zl1 is LIGHT YEARS more advanced then the iroc. Don't get me wrong, I still love my iroc, but this zl1 is just insane in every way.
Edit: That being said, imo the best bang for the buck is an SS. If u want more power, throw a blower on it. |

If you can comfortably afford it, get a ZL1 all day. Completely different level of car vs an SS. The NA LT1 is arguably the better bang for the buck, but both cars are performance bargains.
