That would be nice, but I find it hard to believe you can be driving along in a 455HP V8 and "not even notice" when you lose half your cylinders. I will check out the C7 guys though.

Sound wise. And if you aren't driving with cruise control I am sure you will notice a reduced response from the engine. But if you dip into the throttle much it pulls out immediately anyways. Considering I saw pages and pages of guys arguing when AFM is actually engaged tells me one thing, it is not easily noticed even by drivers looking for it. Probably why there is a V4 display now, otherwise people would complain it wasn't working.

I think GM has nailed the "seamless" part of AFM if you have threads like that.

Just get a manual SS. No AFM (if initial information is correct). Problem solved.

I'm actually looking forward to the new and improved AFM. I'm also excited the the dual mode exhaust is available on automatics now.
