What would you have said?

I went to my local eating establishment for lunch today and came out to two young adults (I would guess between 18-23) taking turns taking pictures of each other in front of my car.
1. It made me feel good that they thought enough of my car to want pictures of it, but.....
2. Should I have been upset that they didn't ask first?
3. Do you think they might post it on their social media as "their" car?
4. Where they rude to take the pics without asking or.....
5. Should I just smirk, shake my head and laugh it up?

I basically told them they were lucky I am nice, somebody else might not have been so kind. The only thing one of them said to me was that he liked my paint job. As I am pulling away, they give each other a chest bump.

I'm with the flying banana. As long as they aren't touching it I don't worry too much. I actually enjoy startling younger kids checking out the car by remote starting it when they're near the back of the car so they get the full effect of the louder exhaust. When they turn around and see me smiling they typically give me a thumbs up.

If they had asked would you have said no? You're gonna have a nice looking car and then question whether or not you should have a beef with anyone taking pictures of it? Who gives a tiny rats a$$ if they say it's their car?

This thread is a total before it even leaves the garage.

this is why i wish the remotes came with a 'throttle' button, or slide button... be cool to 'rev' it up from the remote... someone work on this...

Like others have said...if people show respect ill let them sit in it or take as many pics as they want. Our car club had its big show on Saturday. I spent lot of time letting kids sit in my car....a few adults a well while family members took photos. The parents appreciated it while the kid were grinning from ear to ear. I had nothing but compliments all day. It made me feel good that my 6 year old car still generates some excitment with people. And the fact i could make a kid smile by simply letting him sit in the drivers seat was icing on the cake. There is zero doubt what gen is the fav with people.

Alot of members have been dealing with this for years now.....i don think ive ever heard somone get upset because someone snapped a pic of their car. I think you are over thinking this way to much.

When I first got my Camaro in 2011 we tripped to Brooklyn, NY. Almost every time I looked out our 2nd floor motel window there were people taking pictures.

I thought about getting some water balloons...
