That or Ford doesn't even make the GT500. It's an aftermarket car and not comparable to other factory cars.

Its just my opinion Ford needs more youth in there design team. This version of the mustang while its just ok is kinda bland looking. Its too conservative hardly any risk taking at all. I see way to much of the last generation in this car i was hoping for a totally new look. They need to let go of this keeping with the retro theme and just build a cool muscle car design and move forward. For your viewing pleasure.

I think it's a large departure from the previous model myself. Mustangs have always been relatively square and it's been a long time since they had a roof line like this one.

I imagine this new car next to the older style will show just how new and modern this car looks. I'm loving the elongated hood appearance.

Hey Ford, words whisper and actions thunder.

If you could have beat the Z28 around the Nurburgring, you would have.

Ford didnt have something to beat the z28 on a road course. Never needed to (still dont in my opinon) and never claimed to.

if they feel like building a highly limited niche car in the next couple years to take a shot at the z28 then great, but I won't have any interest (nor the finances) to get one.

I think the car looks good, but already dated.

You can't take as much risk with one of the few nameplates in automotive history that has remained in continuous production for just a few months shy of 50 years.

You also have to consider just where the majority of sales are going to be . . . that other recent thread has put the fat part of the sales curve for the Camaro out in the 40 - 49 and 50 - 59 range.

Never mind that the attached picture is strictly concept-car in nature. Without getting into details that just wouldn't fly at all, any production version simply can't be drawn that tightly.

+1 to be perfectly honest all the 13-14 refresh was doing was preparing everyone for the design change of the '15. By that point I think Ford realized what direction they were going to go with the 15 so they styled the front accordingly. Imagine if the 10-12 Mustang design continued all the way to 2014 and then Ford just went to what the 2015 looks like now. That would be a huge departure and would probably shock the hell out of people and make them hate it and think it doesn't look like a Mustang.

By going to the 13-14 design they could ease people into the design of the 2015 with the larger grill opening and aggressively styled lights of the 13-14 cars and bring that into the 2015 design.

I'm sure the sixth gen camaro will get the same magnitude of upgrade that the corvette has seen.

That is just very plain to me. To each his own though. Interior is not the highest priority for me anyway.
While I do think the Camaro interior is a bit bland, I do like them a lot actually. Its different than the norm, and looks nice if you ask me. I much prefer the 12 and up over the previous models, and I really love the two toned models.

But if they wanted to add a slighly busier dash in the next model I wouldn't complain there either.

I think the style is the way it is because they want to appeal to the European market. "Understated elegance"-type stuff. Which seems wrong to me for the Mustang, but it's Ford's car.

I completely agree. I love the fact that GM didn't do the cookie cutter approach to the interior. I for one like it!

I also cant stand all the complaining of the gunslit windows. I love the look of the car and the low roof adds to the look. If GM could make it taller and not lose the look then ok but I think the visibility is fine. I used to feel like I was in a bathtub in my 350Z and this car does not feel this way to me. I love it.

I agree. The car looks totally different from the S197 models. The only thing is I see that says "Mustang" is the rear. The rest -Front, Side view is totally new style.

I own a 2013 black Mustang

Hopefully the next gen Camaro will be available in right hand drive so I can own one when I return back home to my country
