Double check any weight numbers with the engine that goes with it. Did they state a 200 pound reduction across the board or just the base car? A 4 cylinder mass shouldn't be assume with a V8 engine. Sorry did not read the article.

That is so fast for a stock car. We'll see if the new Mustang can beat the 5th Gen 1LE at on the track at VIR, etc. The 6th Gen on the ATS chassis w/LT1 should be very competitive, but I wonder if the same scenario will occur as now: Camaro is slightly slower, heavier, but more solid, better crash results, and better handler - and better looking.

This car looks much better in silver. From the photos, I guess the new mustang will not be available until late next year. Most mustang followers have gotten used to the early model availability that they have come to expect over the last several years.

I see, so the one with hood vents and fangs is the GT350.

I agree that the last couple shots look better than the Nissan 500Z that we saw from the photos.

I'm not sure I like the tri-LEDs up front running vertically, but we'll see. Still really really early to pass judgement unless the design does nothing for you (which I'm sure it will lots of people, especially on a site like this one).

I really hope the new SVT designation is released first model year, and we don't have to wait until '16.

More food for thought.

I can't recall any car with better proportions than this other than the 65 GT350.

A new classic?
ok i have to admit that this pic looks WAY better then the others but its still seems to close to the same old mustang styling nothing that makes me want to say wow thats way cooler then the older mustangs.

I have to agree, the Boss is 444HP 380TQ and runs low 12s so I assume a 500HP 340lb. version would be high 11s even with an IRS in the rear
