"Again"? The nature of competition - good competition which drives change - is that sometimes the other guy does something right, too. Chevy's had a good couple years since the 6th gen was announced being at the top of the muscle/pony car performance hill, so it's hard to get too worked up about a 15hp bump in the Bullitt (20 over Camaro SS, but still down on torque) and a ZL1 competitor that's more than a year out.

"Scooped" is relative. Depends on when you start the clock.

I think Jeb was expecting Chevy to announce something Camaro at NAIAS.
NAIAS for Chevy this year was all about trucks. There are plenty more shows in 2018 for the Camaro. |

A CorvetteForum member was told by someone close to the ZERV project that "April will be an exciting month for GM car buyers". We have confirmation that the cadillac xt4 will debut in New York, and there's a high possibility that the new GMC Sierra will debut there too. GM is probably going to take over the NY auto show and dominate the sales figures for the rest of 2018. That's a perfect time to announce a new Camaro as the summer is the perfect time to get a new Camaro. New York is the final major U.S. auto show until winter, so GM can capitalize on having the freshest vehicles for a while.

I hope for the refresh Chevrolet drops a 500hp Camaro SS. Just go all out with it.
I highly, highly, highly, doubt it'll go that high and there's a much, much, much better chance we don't see much HP at all, but man how fun would that be? Maybe that'll be the target for Gen 7, but it would be a hilarious response to Ford. A total mic drop for this generation.

Hoping to see 2019 at this years Chicago Auto show but in reality I doubt that will happen. More than likely it will debut at NY.
As for predictions. I'm guessing 475 HP and hoping for the 10 Speed Auto or a significantly revised 8 speed but again. Probably won't happen... |

Camaro needs every bit of that on top of a lower content SS to match or be less than the base GT. |
