Not Liking Hybernation!

Kind of missing this blog. Living in the Twin Cities I don't drive my SS in winter. BUT looking forward to installing my new tire/wheel set up early April or so: 22" Lexani R-12's, 9" and 10", Pirelli P Zero Nero GT's, 255/30/22, 295/25/22

I hear you. Car’s been away for a couple months now and I’m bummed. Actually had a dream about driving it last night, which made me check out the forum. I’ve been avoiding it since it just reminds me that it’ll be months still until I get to set it free again. Hoping for early April.

I always hated winter. This being my first winter having to store a convertible has definitely taken that hatred up a notch.

Mine has been in the garage for a while. So far I have:

washed and clayed
compounded and polished
2 coats of CarPro CQuartz ceramic coating
sealed all exterior glass
removed the wheels and thoroughly cleaned
sealed wheels
coated tires
scrubbed weathertech floor mats

still to do:
2 coats of CarPro Gliss
clean and coat black plastic exterior trim
vacuum and shampoo carpets
clean seats and apply waterproofing fabric protectant
paint brake calipers
whatever else i think of until spring!

GM intentionally designed our door handles to freeze during harsh cold or snow conditions to prevent us from attempting to drive these vehicles through salt and snow. Ingenious.

Wow, looks like yours is a frequent driver! Mine is a garage queen, have never washed it (except for Meguiars dry wash/wax/wipe). Have 1800 miles on it since last April delivery. No rain, no dusty/windy days driving. I've got an Audi S5 coupe for driving all year. Different strokes for different folks!
