You know, I ALWAYS think this. The 4th gen was TERRIBLE for back seat room. In the 3 years I owned my Formula I had ONE person back there and he was tiny. He couldnt even put his feet on the floorboard and had to sit side ways. It was hilarious going through post security on that day.

I never bought a coupe with the intention of transporting big people for extended periods of time. They can cram back there in a pinch when need b.

Cute Kid.

I went and sat in one at the dealer, had my son (who needs a forward facing seat but i just had him sit back there) and wife in the passenger seat.

The front leg room on these cars is really good, at 6' I needed to bring it forward a good 5 inches. A passenger at say 5'6" or so can easily move the seat forward enough to accommodate youngsters. An adult though, hmm...probably not very comfortable.

I was able to put a rear facing car seat in the back without a problem and my wife even rode in the back with my two year old because he wanted her to. She was a little cramped but it wasn't that bad. She's 5'-8" BTW.

So, I take it the rear facing was behind passenger seat, and how far up did it need to go? Could your wife still sit in passenger seat with the rear facing behind her?

In my 5th gen I had a rear facing car seat behind the passenger seat. It was awful! After putting my son back there I would have to physically hold the passenger seat forward in order to keep it from flopping back and forth every time I stopped or accelerated, as there was not enough room for the seat to lock back into place. I have no experience with the 6th gen is this matter, alithough I can't see it being much better.

Now both of my children can use forward facing seats, which I'm praying will work when I am ready to pull the trigger on a 6th gen. If not there's always the trunk as punishment for one (joking.....sort of)!
