All for a AWD option, nothing wrong with having the option to choose.
It can only help with sales if this was an option, some would buy it cause they live in colder climates, others would buy it for the improved 0-60 1/4 times. Me for the later and it would be kinda cool to be able to maneuver around when my week or two of Ice days come around with my AWD SS or ZL1. I started to go AWD this go around and regret not doing it. Dude with a similar setup as mine and on factory runflats is running 11.6's and change. I have yet to see a RWD version with drag radials do that with the same setup. There are trade off's, while 0 - 60 times will be great, 5-60 times can get pretty ugly with added weight and of course lower MPG. If GM is taking notice from this thread, the interest is there. Do it and do it before Ford does it to the Mustang. Be first to the market with it. I really figured Ford would be first to do this with their EB4 since they went global and are in more colder climate markets now.

I would take an AWD option living in the North East, My first car was a 68 Camaro hand me down from my brother and If I still wanted a car "just like that" I would go buy a first Gen Camaro. It's called progress and evolution. I'm still getting a Gen 6 with no AWD because I still love the car.

How about a couple small electric motors up front for launch.
For me, i'm looking at a RWD V8 for a reason - the driving experience. There are very specific reasons why a company chooses to build a RWD vehicle vs. AWD. Yes AWD puts the power down nicely, but many will choose RWD because of how fun they are. Also, I have nothing against offering more options, why should I care what another person chooses to buy? If AWD drive could be turned on and off by driver...that would be pretty freakin cool, best of both worlds.

As soon as it was rumored the Camaro would share the ATS platform one of my first thoughts was AWD Camaro. As an option I love it, not sure if I would order it to be honest I'd have to see comparisons between the two but I suspect the final performance gains would win me over. I live in Florida so I drive 12 months on summer tires but the AWD would be a big feature for you northerners.

An SUV / Crossover type AWD Camaro would be awesome too....The soccer moms have been totally left out of the Camaro picture so far....Why just cater to the bad-weather, non-soccer mom crowd with AWD?

I like the idea of a Chevelle AWD cross over design grocery getter with all the Camaro engine options. Keep the Camaro a smaller performance oriented sports/muscle car. Not opposed to an awd Camaro as long as its performance oriented, like the GTR.

I like the idea. To me, would be more appealing on the "low-po" models and would provide a distinct competitive advantage.

I would like to see an AWD option, then I would have one to drive during the MN winters too.

Using the LF3 or LF4 would have given it a competitive advantage without adding a lot of weight. My perfect is LF4+A8+MRC+AWD= I'll take one, thank you.

It would never get to that price. You have to keep in mind that just because Chevrolet puts AWD on the car that does not mean that the material on the interior is going to just suddenly get better. Yes I know that the 2016 is a 10+ compared to the 5th Gen, but how does it stack up against the GTR or a 911. Because its not just the AWD that determines the cost of the car.
