factory installed clear paint protection film

I've seen this offered on other brands. I had our '15 scat pack Challenger done at a tint shop and it came out ok after the second time they did it. What a pain. I think it'd be nice to have it already done. Any thoughts?

I don't see it being a factory option. Probably just be and aftermarket item

I know dealerships routinely offer this on new cars, but not the factory.

I have it installed on all my cars and it looks good. The trick is not to have someone install a kit it must be hand cut and be 3M film. I had it on my gto for 7 years when I traded it in the dealer took it off. They said ther wasn't one rock chip on the hole car worth the money.

Definitely getting it done on my next car. I'm lucky enough to live near Detailers Domain, those guys are artists when it comes to applying that stuff

The best guys I can find do an ok job. They had to do our Challenger twice and it still lifted in 2 spots which I ended up just slicing the film to get it to lay down flat. I perfer the computer cut kits vs the hand cut and fit. I don't trust anyone to slice the film and not cut into the paint. But I have seen it save our front end and the drivers mirror after checking over the car when back from a road trip to NC. We'll get the Camaro done too for sure.

My buddy had it installed and looked ok, not great though. It was noticable that it was on there. The guy that installed it apparently used a razor to cut it against the paint so he was afraid to have it redone.

No experience myself but I assumed a kit was the way to go.

I did the clear bra on my current Camaro and my wife's crossover myself (well..with the help of my lovely wife!) Yes, its not easy, but you also save a couple hundred dollars over having someone else do it.

Looks great. Nobody even knows they are there.

To me..it is WELL worth the time and money and I will do it again for sure....at least on the front nose.

My worry is that with the way the front is shaped on the 2016 versus my 2010...its going to be a huge pain in the butt. :( Applying it over curves and ridges can really suck.

This option would be nice. I plan to get one either way because it will be my daily driver
