I think GM will stay true to form and tradition. They will make a ZL1 with the Lt4, and they will make a Z28 with the LT1.

If they come up with a head/cam package, ala Ls1/Ls6, or the old LT1/LT4 in '96, then that would go in the Z/28. However, I think the crux of the car will still be the track focus stuff, DSV suspension, CC brakes, among other handling and cooling upgrades. I simply base this on what they say about this car being so close to, if not better than the 1LE. So where do they go from there? The Z/28 becomes the Gen 6 1LE.

if they were go this route, I would be curious if they kept the Z a minimalist track car, or went ahead and offered it with all the creature comforts to sell more of them. Maybe they'll offer it either way, your choice?

It will definitely be interesting what GM does with the ZL1 and Z28 name with the 6gen
